About Myself

I am a self taught artist living in Nottingham, England and have been painting and sketching as a hobby for a number of years now.
But it has only been for the last two years that I have began to realise that I could make a career from my art, after painting for family, then freinds, then went onto selling to people around the uk, and Ireland. I work full time, so the paintings I make are created in-betweeen studying and working full time.
My main artist influences are, Scott Christensen - an Australian artist, Alex Grey - an American artist, and Friedensreich Hundertwasser - an Austrian artist.
I listen to many different music styles when i paint, from 'Lee Perry' to 'the Clash' to 'John Butler'.

I began painting seascapes whilst I was backpacking around Australia, me and a couple of freinds spent several months travelling around the Australian coastline in a beat up old Mitsubishi L300 transit van, with a few surfboards strapped to the roof, just soaking up the vastness of Australia, seeing and doing unique things that would never happen in the uk.

I found I enjoyed the challenge of painting water/the ocean.
Sometimes painting these can be one big puzzle.
